Our Christmas Tree.

Just last night at home (November 30th). We put up our Christmas Tree. Our Christmas Tree is fake (sadly). Let me describe it. The tree is white, plastic and metal and its height is 180cm tall and its width is 105 cm. So it is averagely big. We decorated it with gold and silver baubles with red and green tinsel.
Here is a picture.

the band lesson went for 1 hour. On Friday I went to the dentist, I had to get bubble gum paint. It tastes so good I could eat it but I know that I can not.

Richard Trevithick was a British inventor and mining engineer, born 13 April 1771, died 22 April 1833. He was mostly known for his steam locomotives. On 21 February 1804, the worlds first locomotive ran on a railway. The journey took place on a railway to the Pennydarren-Ironworks.

Thank you for reading this brief description about Richard Trevithick and how the train started. Here are some images below.

Week 5 Term 4 2017

This week was a bit different. Monday was fine. Tuesday, on the other hand, was extremely different. On Tuesday it was HP Athletics, I did not make it in so I had to stay at school. Now here is the different thing. The people how did not make it into HP from Whetu came into Marama. So this meant that I could see my best friend in class. We also had different teachers, as our normal teachers were at HP. But something went wrong at lunch. A storm began. There were thunder and hints of lighting, it rains and we also had some hail.

On Thursday in the middle block of school. The school's internet went down for the rest of the day so we had to do things old school with paper. Why this week did things go wrong on all the day starting with T.

My New Lego Sets

Hi, I am here to tell you some exciting news (well for me). Yesterday I was given, by my friend, a box of lego and guess what, in the box of lego there are two discontinued, or as lego fans say retired sets. One of them where the Lego Cty Mine Set and the second set was the Lego City Fire Station.

The lego mine was one I really wanted and I have started building it with online instructions. I haven't gotten far with it. Now, with the fire station, I am not going to make it I am going to make a MOC, to go next to the latest fire station lego released.I hope to make lego city better with these sets.

Indiana Jones 5

Indiana Jones 5
In 2019 or 2020 Indiana Jones 5 is going to be released out too the world. I’m so excited because, Indiana Jones is my favourite movie. I have 2 Indiana Jones books {not based of the movie}, I have read the Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and I have a lego set from Indiana Jones. For those of you who are fans of Indiana Jones Harrison Ford is coming back to act Indy. Harrison Ford is going to be 77 when the movie comes out, so I don't think Indy will fighting hard like he did in the other movies. This is a guess , I think the the movie will based in the 1960s-1970s because the 4th movie was based in the 1950s. Gorge Lucas has given Indiana Jones to Disney. So Gorge won't be back, bur Steven Spielberg will be back to direct the movie. But I’m really looking ford to seeing the movie on big screen in the cinemas.

If I met Richie McCaw.

  1. What OPEN question would you ask him? What inspired you to be an All Black?
  2. What would you thank him for? Supporting and representing New Zealand.
  3. What else would you say to him/ask him about/tell him…? Why do you want to stop playing rugby?

Richie McCaw

Great Leader.

If you want be a great leader you must make sure that you are ready for the worst to come and that means fail. if there is a change in the day you need to deal with it and be flexible, change plans. Step out of your comfort zone and talk to people you don’t really talk to and remember to keep trying, don’t give up on anyone including yourself. If you fail remember how failed and learn from you mistakes.

Camp 2017

This year Marama is going to camp in Taupo. I am going on camp to make new friends and one of my goals are to get braver at going on high rope courses. Another goal is to get better at swimming in places that are not a pool. If I want to accomplish my goals I have to be myself and be resilient. If I have a problem I am going to talk to a teacher or a parent. At, to and from camp I am going to be on my best behaviour and be kind.

My Individual Endeavours.

This year my individual endeavours is about trains. An individual endeavour is when one person is working on a topic and finding information about the topic. The reason I choose trains is because I am really interested in trains and I would like to find out how safe trains can be. Also when and will we have passenger trains run from Wellington to Hamilton to Auckland. I also wanted to find out why trains were made.

I hope to gain a better understanding of the safety of train and how they could be better used in New Zealand. I will need to know how to research and scan for the most important information. Some of the learning powers I will need to use would be resilience, creativity, connecting, curiosity and being me. At the end of when I finish my individual endeavours I would like to make a video.

Woman Keeps Cookie For 85 Years.

In 1930 an Arizona woman was given a love  heart shaped cookie for valentines and keep it for 85 years in a jewellery box. The reason she keep the cookie was to remind her of her first love.

I got this information of KiwiKidsNews.

My best weekend.

In Hollywood.

On this weekend I was in Hollywood with my family. We came here because we won the lotto. Okay back to story, I was enjoying a nice slice of velvet flavour cake. (Mmmm).  After we had lunch we went back to the hotel and just as I sat down to watch the television, someone knocked on the door. When I opened the door no one was there, strange. I look down and up, then down again. There one the ground was a light gray envelope. I picked it up and went back in side and gave Mum the envelope.

The letter.

The next day we all watched Mum open the envelope. She pulled out a white folded letter. The letter read:

To Dilyn B

How would you like to act in our new movie
Indiana Jones and lost village.
Is coming out in 2021
PS: Get back to us by Friday.

Signed: Steven Spielberg & Gorge Lucas.

Yessss.

So Dilyn, do you want to be in the movie.  Yessss Please!. Okay, but I have to come Mum said. Alright, alright you can come I said. So the next day the family droped Mum and I of at the airport to go to New York City.

Half a year later.

When the movie came out it was a big hit and I got a lot of money and most of my friends went to see it.
Now if I have found my new job.

If you could go back in time to any point in history.

Image result for what was it like in the 1930s cars
Image result for what was it like in the 1930s trains
IIf I could go back in time, I would go to the 1930's. The reason behind this, is because I like the 1930's cars. (Their so fancy) I could experience what it would be like with all of those old cars and pretty much always wearing suits. I would take a bunch of car with me when I come back. But there would be two down sides and those would be, because there was the was no colour and I think there was a war. :(

All about me.

This is my all about me pitcher of the stuff that is in important to me.

Facts about the brain.

• At birth we don't have many neurons, but at age 6 we will most likely have a lot more neurons because of all the learning we have been doing.
• When we get older we can have up to 80 - 100 Billion neurons.
• The way we learn is by failing and then learning from our mistakes.
• When you learn its like your crossing a giant pit. The more times you cross back and forth the better you get at doing it.

The Waitangi Treaty was made and signed by the British and Maori, in the Bay Of Islands for piece between the two sides. On Waitangi Day this year Richard and I went and saw my step nanny.
