Term 1 Week 6.

This week was a short week because of the Queens Birthday. This week we have been singing and learning the song "I'll Be There For You". I think that I have done well at the song. One thing that I have found hard is writing a compulsory story for Toi Toi, which I have not completed. This was mainly because of having a short week. But I am happy that is Friday because my Birthday is on Sunday and I can't wait. Oh and this week we made a frame for our self. I think that mine is cool. We also started doing our IE (Individual Endeavour). Mine is on the Thames mining history.

Dear Minister Of Education,

Dear Minister Of Education, I have heard that you will be cutting one of the school subjects. Now, I am a year 8 from Ngatea Primary School and I would be really disappointed if you were to take away one of school's most important subjects, writing. Now I know that you and your team will put a lot of thought into this problem. But writing is one of the most important parts of the curriculum and also the future of us children and teenagers.
Here are some reasons that why I think that you should not get rid of writing:

Writing will help us in the future.

Writing is an easy way to communicate.

Writing is just important overall.

If you were to cancel writing it would be an ignominy.

From Dilyn.
